Message for Residents – Alcester North SNT
Good evening everyone, Whilst many of you have been settling down for the night, I have been out on patrol across the Alcester North policing area and will remain on duty through until the morning.
Throughout the evening I have been carrying out proactive patrols in and around Studley, Mappleborough Green, Sambourne, Astwood Bank, Coughton, Great Alne, Langley (picture below), Bearley and the surrounding villages. It has been great to see some residents out and about, and I have spent time speaking with members of the community whilst keeping an eye on the issues that matter most to local people.
As part of tonight's patrols, I witnessed a young driver carry out a dangerous manoeuvre in front of me. As a result, the driver was stopped and issued with a traffic offence report. Dangerous and irresponsible driving puts other road users, pedestrians and local residents at risk, and we will continue to take positive action when offences are identified.
We know concerns around road safety, anti-social behaviour and vehicle crime are important to our communities, and proactive patrols like these are one of the ways we work to address them.
If you see myself or any of the team out on patrol, please don't hesitate to stop us and have a chat. Your information and feedback help us build a clearer picture of what is happening in the area and where we need to focus our efforts.
Have a safe evening all,
PC Ben Cole
